1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Git AutoReview ("Service"), including our VS Code extension, website, and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Git AutoReview ("we," "us," or "our").
Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Description of Service
Git AutoReview is an AI-powered code review tool that:
- Provides automated code review for Bitbucket pull requests (GitHub and GitLab coming soon)
- Uses AI models (Claude, Gemini, GPT) to analyze code and suggest improvements
- Integrates with Jira for acceptance criteria verification
- Operates as a VS Code extension with local processing
- Supports BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) for AI API access
The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified, updated, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you may need to create an account or purchase a license. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly update any changes to your information
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
4. Subscription & Billing
4.1 Free Tier
We offer a free tier with limited features:
- 10 AI code reviews per day
- 1 repository
- BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) support
- No credit card required
4.2 Paid Plans
Paid subscriptions provide additional features and higher limits. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Pay the applicable fees as displayed at the time of purchase
- Provide valid payment information
- Authorize recurring charges for subscription renewals
4.3 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.
4.4 Refunds
All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. However, we may provide refunds or credits at our sole discretion in cases of:
- Service unavailability exceeding our SLA commitments
- Billing errors on our part
- Requests within 7 days of initial purchase (first-time subscribers only)
4.5 Price Changes
We may change our prices at any time. Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle.
5. License Grant & Restrictions
5.1 License Grant
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Install and use the VS Code extension
- Access the Service for your internal business purposes
- Use AI-generated outputs in accordance with these Terms
5.2 Restrictions
You may NOT:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
- Rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the Service
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices
- Use the Service to develop a competing product
- Circumvent usage limits or access controls
- Share your license key with unauthorized users
- Use automated means to access the Service beyond intended use
6. User Responsibilities
6.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will NOT use the Service to:
- Process code that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Submit malicious code, malware, or harmful content
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Generate spam or unsolicited communications
6.2 Your Content
You are solely responsible for the code and content you submit to the Service. You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to the code you submit
- Your code does not infringe any third-party rights
- Your code complies with all applicable laws
- You have obtained all necessary consents for any personal data in your code
7. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)
Git AutoReview supports BYOK, allowing you to use your own API keys for AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). When using BYOK:

- Your Keys, Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for obtaining, securing, and managing your API keys.
- Direct Relationship: When using BYOK, you contract directly with the AI provider. You must comply with their terms of service.
- Local Storage: Your API keys are stored locally in VS Code's SecretStorage. We never transmit or access your keys.
- Costs: You are responsible for all API usage costs incurred through your keys.
- No Liability: We are not liable for any issues arising from your use of third-party API keys, including service interruptions, data processing by AI providers, or API costs.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including the VS Code extension, website, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Git AutoReview and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.
8.2 Your Intellectual Property
You retain all ownership rights to your code. We do not claim any ownership interest in the code you submit for review.
8.3 AI-Generated Output
Output Ownership: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we assign to you all rights, title, and interest in the AI-generated review comments, suggestions, and outputs ("Output") derived from your code.
Note: Similar or identical Output may be generated for other users with similar code. This assignment applies only to Output generated from your specific inputs.
8.4 Limited License to Us
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your code solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do NOT use your code to train AI models or for any purpose other than delivering the review service.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms:

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
10. Disclaimers & Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI-GENERATED OUTPUT
- UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION
10.1 AI Output Disclaimer
AI-generated code review suggestions are for informational purposes only.They are NOT:
- Professional software engineering advice
- Guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or error-free
- A substitute for human code review
- Guaranteed to identify all bugs, security issues, or problems
You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and testing all AI-generated suggestions before implementing them in your codebase.
10.2 No Guarantee of Results
We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Service. Code quality, bug detection rates, and review accuracy may vary based on many factors outside our control.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- NO INDIRECT DAMAGES: We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.
- LIABILITY CAP: Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
- CODE-RELATED DAMAGES: We are not liable for any damages arising from bugs, security vulnerabilities, or other issues in your code, whether or not identified by the Service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Git AutoReview and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Any code or content you submit to the Service
- Your use of AI-generated output
- Your use of BYOK and third-party API keys
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Canceling your subscription through your account settings
- Uninstalling the VS Code extension
- Contacting us at support@gitautoreview.com
13.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Fail to pay applicable fees
- Abuse the Service or other users
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data after a reasonable period. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) will survive.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Ukraine.
Notwithstanding the above, we may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property rights.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on this page
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Sending an email notification for significant changes
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.

Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Git AutoReview regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.
